Embraced the formal stuff at the National School of Art, Hunter Street, Newcastle NSW prior to a long incubation period, while embarking on a lengthy "journey of self discovery and the acquisition of meaningful knowledge."

Completing a Bachelor of Education degree in 1994 as a mature student, majoring in Fine Art and Literature & Literacy, re-awakened the creative psyche.

Exchanging her house for a caravan and going "on the road' in 2009, saw a clarification of artistic goals and the consolidation of a unique style and mode of expression.  

Although elements of Impressionism and Australian Indigenous art can be identified in Christine's paintings, it is a fascination with the idea that form is an illusion, which may or may not be fully realized by individual's perceptions, that continue to be the final driving force that inspires all of Christine's work..
